  2. Não gosto muito do Cukor (meu preferido dele é A Costela de Adão, bem acima dos outros que vi), mas tenho que reconhecer que ele escolhia bem as moças…

    • Cukor é um dos diretores que mais causam torções no nariz desde sempre, especialmente por ter moldado o chamado “filme de mulherzinha”, querendo ou não o homem fez uma grande contribuição com respeito à mulher e o cinema, especialmente com relação à parceria com a Katharine Hepburn, digamos que dentro da indústria o homem foi essencial para tirar a mulher do “gueto” no século XX. O meu preferido dele é o Núpcias do Escândalo, seguindo um top 5 com As Mulheres, À Meia Luz, Adorável Pecadora e Jantar às Oito.
      Não era ele que escolhia as atrizes, elas que rastejavam para trabalhar com ele, simplesmente porque ninguém entendia mais do feminino em Hollywood do que ele. Todas as atrizes sabiam que trabalhando com ele ganhariam ovações e prestígio sem fim por conta de suas atuações.
